We have held many in-house meetings over our past 19 years and we have become learned in the ways of internal marketing.
That is a good question – it is important to make sure your team is aware of what you have planned to get the most out of the time spent. You want everyone engaged and excited by what you are going to tackle.
We treat our meetings, retreats and other functions with great respect and create mini-campaigns for them. When we can, we like to tantalize the staff with teasers leading up to the event. This builds anticipation and enthusiasm.
The photos displayed in this month’s illumiBYTES shows part of a recent campaign we ran for a staff planning retreat. We selected a fun "spy" then produced charming / whimsical posters, buttons, patches etc. Some of the images below display a theme that changed each day – the fuse grew shorter and a new three letter acronym appeared.
Everyone was excited - they kept trying to guess what the acronym was until it was displayed on the final poster. We successfully engaged the staff and had a very productive retreat.
